It reduces snap over steer and road harshnessthat’s inherent in the stock JK steering system. The steering system has a direct steel path fromthe knuckle through the linkage and to the frame. Every impact from tar strips to potholes willtransfer through the stock drag link. The attenuator’s job is to absorb road harshness through abuilt in dampening rate to absorb these forces.
