Description

A 4-piece push-in hood-to-fender bumper set designed for 1967–1978 Ford cars. Constructed from durable synthetic rubber with reinforced push-stems, the set provides long-lasting compression, weather resistance, and consistent ride height for reliable daily use and show-quality restorations. Easy to install and designed as a direct replacement for worn or missing factory bumpers.Features:

  • Fits 1967–1978 Ford cars (check specific model fitment before purchase).
  • 4-piece push-in design restores and cushions the hood-to-fender contact points.
  • Durable synthetic rubber bumper with reinforced push-stem for long service life.
  • Reduces hood vibration, rattles, and prevents paint chipping at the contact area.
  • Quick, no-drill installation — ideal for restoration projects and routine maintenance.

Installation / Application:

  • Difficulty: 1/5
  • Estimated time: 10-20 minutes

Suggested Tools:

  • Flat-blade screwdriver or trim removal tool
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Clean rag
  • Isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner
  • Light lubricant (soapy water or silicone spray, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Open the hood and locate the factory bumper mounting holes on the fender/hood edge.
  2. Remove any old bumper pieces or debris from the mounting holes using a flat-blade screwdriver or trim tool; clean the area with a rag and cleaner.
  3. Verify each new bumper is the correct orientation (bump pad facing the hood) and that push-stems are undamaged.
  4. If needed, apply a small amount of soapy water or silicone spray to the stem to ease insertion.
  5. Align the push-stem with the hole and press the bumper firmly into place until the head is flush with the mounting surface. Use needle-nose pliers or a soft-faced mallet covered with cloth to seat if necessary.
  6. Close the hood and check gap and contact. Adjust bumper position or replace with a different height set if further alignment is required.
  7. Repeat for remaining bumpers and recheck after a short test drive to ensure secure fit and proper hood alignment.
