The MonoMaxs floating piston design adjusts to driving conditions automatically. When road conditions cause the shock to travel faster or further, the floating piston design instantly provides greater damping for maximum control.
When road conditions return to normal, the MonoMax delivers excellent ride comfort.
Zinc-coated steel piston ring provides long-life reliability.
A thick rubber dust boot protects the shaft from debris that can cause premature wear of the oil seal.
The multi-lip oil seal features an integrated wiper to keep fluid in and contaminants out.
An ultra-smooth, triple chrome-plated piston rod helps reduce seal wear.
Larger, aftermarket wheels can add up to 25 pounds of additional weight to each corner. Original Equipment shocks and struts are calibrated for original tires and wheels, not larger, heavier ones. Compared to typical OE shocks, KYB MonoMax shocks provide additional damping to better control vehicles with larger, heavier tire-and-wheel packages.
Towing, hauling heavy loads, and plowing require additional damping and control. KYB Monotube shocks are a great choice if you are using your truck, 4X4, or SUV as a work truck for towing, heavy loads, or plowing.
