On September 1, 2012, Chapter 31B of the California Building Code was updated to include new safety sign requirements for public swimming pools. Two new signs (*NEW*) are now required and should be installed. The following section from Chapter 31B of the California Building Code details the specific requirements for the safety signs.
3120B.10 Keep closed. A sign shall be posted on the exteriorside of gates and doors leading into the pool enclosure areastating, “KEEP CLOSED.”
